Every year, pastors file a detailed annual report: a full year of attendance, membership changes, giving, and ministry activity. Most rebuild it from memory and scattered notes in December. NazTrack turns that year-end scramble into a couple of minutes each Sunday.

Day one: concept to cloud

We started with the report itself and worked backwards: what does a pastor actually need to capture each week so the report writes itself? By the end of the first day we had:

  • Mobile and desktop mockups, so the experience was right before any code was written
  • Secure sign-in, with each church's data kept separate
  • The full cloud backend, deployed and live

Families and demographics

Churches think in households, not just individuals. Members can now be grouped into families with shared details, and demographic fields flow straight into the report's required sections. The first version went to production the same day.

The MVP, wired end to end

Next, every screen was connected to live data: dashboard stats, the membership roster, weekly check-ins, and the annual report. The math that matters (attendance averages, year-to-date giving, member counts) is covered by automated tests, because a report that is wrong is worse than no report.

The finishing touch is an AI year in review: the pastor's weekly notes summarized into a clear narrative for the report, ready to edit.

What is next

  • Tracking services that span multiple days
  • Showing church calendar events like Good Friday and Ash Wednesday automatically
  • A refreshed mobile layout
  • District-level reporting that rolls up across churches

What this means for your business

If your team files the same report every month, quarter, or year, the data to build it is already passing through your hands. We capture it as it happens, so the report builds itself, with dashboards and AI summaries on top.
